Surf Series Round 2

Bright sunshine and huge crowds reminiscent of the Aussies greeted all the competitors at Polzeath in round 2 of the Surf Series. Not a dryrobe to be seen!!
Great work from the nippers, Evie paddled brilliantly and Lewis and Jay paddled off with Gold and silver respectively. Joe only just misssed out on the final in a very competitive age group, these kids are flying.
In the races for 14 years olds Iwan again swam well and repeated his board race 2nd place from the first round.
Jess completed the board paddle and the beach sprint. Rosalie was a star securing 3rd in the board race on the newly launched HMS Longman. This just left laziest competitors Emily and Rhys only completing a 60m sprint due to the cancellation of the flags. Emily secured second place in the race and first for the gurning. Rhys started well then the wheels fell off as his body failed him due to old age:-)
