Nipper National Stillwater Championships at Millfield

The Official results for the Nipper Nationals at Millfield have come in, and what fab results they are!

Twenty seven super duper Holywell Nippers travelled to Somerset on Saturday 18th April to take part in the SLS Stillwater Pool Championships. Out of twenty five Surf Life Saving Clubs, Holywell came 5th which, for a National Competition,  is amaaaazing!!! A huge well done to you all. With out a doubt your hard work and dedication has paid off.  Thank you to the parents that helped on the day, with time keeping and ferrying boards and manikins to and fro and for just being there to cheer on the team. Thanks also to Simon and Dave for being Club photographers for the day!

Great camaraderie and team spirit as always. The team came away with 8 gold medals,  9 silver medals and 2 bronze medals,  but also each and every point went towards Holywell’s position … each Nipper played a part.

Every competition is special but to see so many new eager faces this year has been a joy. We actually had the chance to enter more than one team or a pair in each age group … the result being, it gave  all the Nippers the  opportunity  to experience and enter more races. So happy days all round!! : )

Once again very well done HBay Nippers you’re all super stars …  Holywell does truly rock!!!
