Crabbing at H-Bay

Event: Fox Club goes rock pooling in Newquay

Details:
Children/Family event
Rock pooling
Sunday 22nd March 2015 11.30am to 1.30pm
Where to meet: Newquay (directions given on booking)

Booking essential: Fox Club 01872 273939 foxclub@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk
Cost of event: free, but donations to Fox Club welcomed

There’s more to Newquay than just surf beaches and nights out, it is also a great location for rock pooling.

The rock pools here are exposed to a real battering from the sea but they still provide homes for a diverse number of creatures. Fox Club, the junior section of Cornwall Wildlife Trust will be finding this out when they explore the pools under the leadership of Matt Slater, the Trust’s Marine Awareness Officer at Newquay on Sunday 22nd March from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

All youngsters who are interested in Cornwall’s marine life are welcome to attend. But wrap up warm, and wear your wellies! Helping Matt and the children find rock pool creatures will be the Newquay Marine Group.

Booking is essential, please phone Fox Club on 01872 273939 for details of the exact location. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult, aged 18+. For more information go to www.cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk/foxclub
